Welcome to the works of Marc VandenBerg.
Marc VandenBerg's artistic journey in flame working began in the mid-90s, where he immersed himself in the delicate intricacies and dexterity required for torch techniques. Influenced by the larger scale sculptures of renowned artists like William Morris and Davide Salvadore, VandenBerg's artistic vision expanded as he sought to push the boundaries of his craft.
In 1999, a significant opportunity presented itself when VandenBerg accepted a position at The Henry Ford Museum. This marked a pivotal moment in his career, allowing him to explore larger scale work and join the museum's furnace production, demonstration, and instruction team. Reflecting on this experience, VandenBerg expresses gratitude for the chance to be nurtured by the museum, gaining a profound understanding of classic forms and historical techniques. His training included collaboration with American virtuosos including Loren Stump, Sally Prasch and Venetian Maestros such as Lucio Bubacco, Elio Quarisia, and Davide Fuin, further enriching his repertoire.
With 27 successful years in his career, VandenBerg's work has garnered global recognition, showcased in exhibitions around the world. His expertise, shaped by a blend of traditional and modern techniques, positions him as a seasoned artist who continues to teach and exhibit his creations in galleries internationally.
The launch of the VandenBest collection in 2022 signifies a new chapter in VandenBerg's artistic journey.
